ABOUT THE ROLE

The Associate, Bitcoin Mining Strategy plays a critical role in driving the company'sย strategic growth initiatives. This position involves leading complex market analyses, spearheading mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, supporting strategic investments and developing strategic partnerships. The Senior Associate collaborates closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and execute high-impact opportunities, perform detailed financial evaluations, and deliver strategic recommendations.

Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:

Strategic Market Analysis:

  • Lead comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive dynamics, and potential growth opportunities.
  • Develop and present market analyses and strategic insights to senior leadership to inform business strategy.

Financial Evaluation and Modeling:

  • Create and manage sophisticated financial models to evaluate the financial implications of potential ASIC acquisitions, strategic investments, operating fleet optimizations and other business opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on strategy, including financial analysis and risk assessment.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities, from initial screening to integration planning, and through implementation.
  • Prepare detailed investment memoranda, board presentations, and other documentation to support decision-making processes.
  • Recommend operating enhancements with a goal of profit maximization of operating ASIC mining fleet.

Deal Structuring and Negotiation:

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating deal terms, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with external parties, including key partners, consultants, and legal counsel, to facilitate transaction processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal teams, including finance, legal, operations, and corporate development, to ensure seamless execution and integration of strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the ASIC Compute Strategy team and other departments to foster collaboration and alignment on strategic goals.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track and report on the performance of and strategic decisions for the operating ASIC Mining fleet, providing insights and recommendations for future opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate progress and outcomes to senior management.
  • Allย other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a related field.
  • Direct experience in Bitcoin, Bitcoin mining, or energy are a encouraged but not a requirement.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex informationย clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projectsย simultaneously and meet deadlines.
