Job description

Iron Oak Energy Solutions, formed from the strategic combination of Covia Energy and Black Mountain Sand to create a premier frac sand mining company, delivering superior products and solutions to diversified oil and natural gas markets across North America. The combination positions Iron Oak Energy with unmatched scale, reliability, and deliverability to customers in all major oil and gas shale plays.
Iron Oak Energy, located in Wedron, IL has an immediate opening for a Mine Supervisor.
The successful candidate will have the following Key Accountabilities:
  • Set high standards for workplace safety. Understand and enforce MSHA regulations and Iron Oak's Corporate Safety & Health policies and procedures ensuring employees are properly trained and equipped to perform jobs in the safest manner. Enforce high standards for plant housekeeping.
  • Responsible for the direction of daily mine related production activities.
  • Collect, check, analyze and discuss and/or forward necessary data for required reports. Prepare operating reports as required.
  • Manage scheduling of production employees and mobile equipment operators for all shifts.
  • Ensure task training is complete and current for all mine employees.
  • Monitor daily mine operation activities to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and reporting.
  • Coordinate efforts with Quality Department to manage particle size and chemical composition of plant feed.
  • Responsible for creating, updating, and communicating process instructions for pit related activities, maintenance, and mobile equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of mining experience
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and computer programs
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license

Pay: $85,000 - $95,000
