We specialize in supporting exploration at challenging sites like Pogo Mine in Alaska, using a fleet that includes Epiroc diamond drill rigs and Ford F250 support vehicles.We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced mechanic to join our team at Pogo. If you're confident working in remote conditions and enjoy hands-on work with high-end equipment, we'd like to hear from you. We have opened our applicant pool to include LV Mechanics with a strong desire to learn new skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on Epiroc MCR diamond drill rigsService and maintain Ford F250 support vehicles used on-siteTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in the fieldMinimize equipment downtime through proactive inspections and fault diagnosisMaintain accurate maintenance records and parts logsEnsure all work complies with mine site safety protocols and environmental standardsAssist with drill rig mobilization and demobilization as requiredOperate and maintain a clean, organized field service truckCollaborate with drill crews and site supervisors to support operational needsRequirementsRelevant trade certification (e.g. Automotive or Diesel Mechanic)Experience with Epiroc drill rigs (or similar) and Ford F250s – (Highly regarded)Experience with Epiroc RCS automation - (Highly regarded)Strong problem-solving and mechanical diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently in remote and challenging environmentsValid driver's licenseWillingness to work rotational shifts at a remote mine siteStrong commitment to safety and team communication Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience working in mining or exploration campsFamiliarity with Mine site requirements2+ years of experience with heavy equipment or drilling rig1+ years of experience working with hydraulic systems What We OfferCompetitive pay + field/fuel allowancesCamp accommodation and meals provided at Pogo MineRotation schedule (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off or similar)Supportive and safety-focused work environmentOpportunities for training, development, and long-term employment5 weeks of PTO
