Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Miner

Palmer, Alaska


Competitive pay range: $25- $34 Per Hr.(DOE), Assignment and Certifications


Summary:

AKHIRE is currently recruiting a crew of Millwright / Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (skilled trade). Preferably, applicants should also have some mine experience. We work on immovable machinery like crushers and conveyors at mine sites. We go out on contracts that we receive with the mines within the state of Alaska. In most cases, these jobs come with some travel, food and lodging while you are on site at the mine. Most jobs will require overtime work, which will add to your average hourly pay. Some assignments might last for a few days, most can be for weeks and some can turn into long-term placements.

One year of Millwright / Industrial Mechanic experience on non- movable machinery and/ or two years welding and fabrication experience required to be considered for the position.
  • MSHA certification is required of all workers. MSHA training and certification: If you had an MSHA certification and it has expired you will need to take the refresher course online before starting the job (we will pay for the refresher course).
  • Skill set certification (may vary from job to job) related to the job you are hired to perform.
  • You must pass a drug test.
  • You must pass a full background check before we can place you at the mines.
