Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mindfulness-based interventions, focusing on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to assist clients in lowering their stress levels and improving their mental health.
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients' personal stressors and mental health challenges, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet each individual's unique goals.
  • Guide clients in mindfulness exercises, including meditation practices and breathing techniques, to cultivate self-awareness, emotional regulation, and stress management skills.
  • Create and facilitate engaging group workshops focused on mindfulness practices, providing education on stress management and resilience-building strategies.
  • Incorporate mindfulness practices into one-on-one therapy sessions, actively addressing clients' specific mental health concerns and working towards their personal growth.
  • Collaborate continuously with other therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care that enhances therapeutic outcomes.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation related to client progress, mindfulness interventions implemented, and the overall treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.
  • Commit to ongoing personal mindfulness practice, engage in self-reflection, and pursue continuous professional development to deepen expertise in mindfulness-based approaches.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, who are seeking support for various mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related disorders. Your expertise in mindfulness will be vital in helping them achieve their therapeutic goals and enhance their coping mechanisms in daily life.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.
  • Experience or training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred, aligning with our therapeutic focus.
  • Ability to effectively integrate mindfulness techniques into therapeutic sessions, fostering a calming environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to establish a supportive therapeutic rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience
