Position Overview

Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our established psychiatric practice. This full-time, remote position allows for flexible work arrangements while helping individuals enhance their emotional well-being through mindfulness-based therapeutic approaches. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting clients as they seek to overcome mental health challenges and foster resilience.

Located in Naperville, Illinois, our telehealth services provide accessible mental health care to individuals in various settings. Our team is dedicated to implementing evidence-based practices, particularly mindfulness-based interventions, to empower clients in their journey towards personal growth and emotional equilibrium.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote and utilizes telehealth technology to connect with clients. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured yet adaptable work schedule. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to clients, focusing on techniques that promote relaxation and emotional regulation.
  • Conduct initial assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of clients' stressors, challenges, and therapeutic goals, creating personalized treatment plans that incorporate mindfulness strategies.
  • Lead individual sessions to guide clients through mindfulness exercises, meditation, and breathing techniques, facilitating their ability to develop self-awareness and manage stress effectively.
  • Facilitate virtual group workshops that educate participants on mindfulness practices, resilience-building strategies, and stress management techniques.
  • Integrate mindfulness approaches into clients' individual therapy sessions, addressing specific mental health concerns collaboratively with the client.
  • Work closely with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to ensure that mindfulness strategies are seamlessly incorporated into a comprehensive treatment model.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, mindfulness interventions, and ongoing treatment plans to track outcomes and enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Engage in personal mindfulness practices and pursue ongoing professional development in mindfulness techniques to deepen your expertise in MBSR.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse array of clients from various backgrounds who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, or other mental health challenges. Our clients are seeking not just clinical solutions but holistic approaches to enhance their well-being, making your role vital in promoting healthier coping mechanisms and emotional balance.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois is required.
  • Familiarity with mindfulness principles and proficiency in incorporating them into therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively support clients through their wellness journeys.
  • Ability to create a calming and supportive environment that fosters open dialogue and self-exploration among clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with mindfulness-based practices, particularly Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a telehealth setting, utilizing virtual communication platforms for client interaction.
  • A demonstrated commitment to personal mindfulness practice and ongoing professional education in innovative mental health approaches.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
