As a mental health counselor at Mind Matters, you will work remotely, allowing for flexibility in your schedule while maintaining a strong connection to our central care team. • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and create personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective treatment for individuals, couples, and families.
• Engage in regular consultations with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate a holistic approach to client care.
• Deliver crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute emotional distress, ensuring immediate support and stabilization.
• Participate in community outreach programs aimed at enhancing mental health awareness and breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment progress through our electronic health record system.

Mind Matters serves a diverse clientele, including individuals from varying cultural backgrounds, ages, and socioeconomic statuses. Clients may present with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and relationship challenges. This position requires cultural competence and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering trust and effective collaboration.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build rapport and therapeutic relationships.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in mental health care.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems for documentation and client management.

• Experience working in community mental health or clinical settings.
• Familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities and a willingness to adapt to the needs of clients.
• Experience in conducting community outreach and educational workshops on mental health topics.
