Job description

Millhouse by Moonraker Brewing Co. is looking to hire a Senior Line Cook to join our team!

We are seeking an attentive, ambitious, and engaged individual to support and assist in operating a high-volume, collaborative restaurant. This candidate will help execute our standard menu, specials, and catering programs while working closely with the Executive Chef and other team members. We are located at 3501 Robin Lane, Cameron Park, CA 95682. This fully appointed kitchen features a state-of-the-art pizza oven, and an open floor plan, with great views of our 9000 sq. ft. beer garden. It is important to us that our team enjoys coming to work every day, and is proud to serve our community.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for running and or assisting the kitchen during a shift
  • Proper food safety handling and sanitation practices
  • Maintain cleanliness of  back of house (BOH)
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule; including deep cleaning protocol
  • Specified preparation of all menu items and cooking skills, which include quality as well as timeliness
  • Prepare dishes to customer preferences
  • Set up a stock station(s) with all necessary supplies
  • Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation
  • Adhere to a weekly schedule
  • Possibly engage directly with the public and customers; applicable to daily service and special events
  • Inventory management and stock rotation
  • Food preparation and portioning
  • Dish management and proper cleaning


Qualifications

  • Must have California Food Handler certification
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Hardworking & passionate about producing great food
  • Willingness to learn and grow as a team member
  • Proper and safe handling of kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow menus and recipes
  • Proper weighing, measuring, and knowledge of ingredients
  • Comfortable working and communicating under pressure
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (3-8 hours)
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lbs at a time
  • Previous kitchen/prep/cook experience is a plus
  • Experience with pizza and dough prep is a plus
  • Knowledge and/or passion for the brewing industry is also a plus!

The starting pay for this position is negotiable depending on experience.  This is a tipped position based on food sales.  We are hiring for part-time or full-time. Benefits are available for full-time employees.
