Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill a Mill Operator position for a manufacturing client in Manchester, TN. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!
Duties for this position include:
• Set up and operate high-frequency (HF) mill equipment to produce welded products
• Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to maintain efficiency
• Inspect finished materials to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment
• Maintain accurate production records including output, downtime, and defects
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve production issues
• Keep work area clean and organized to support safe operations
Compensation (USD):
$20.00/hour
(depending on experience)
Schedule:
1st Shift
Monday - Thursday
6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
2nd Shift
Monday - Thursday
6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience operating mill equipment or similar machinery preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, gauges, and measuring tools
• Basic math skills for measurements and adjustments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and noise
• Forklift experience or certification preferred
