Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC setup and operation, with a firm command of G-code and M-code programming. You will be responsible for producing high-quality parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and/or lathes, ensuring all components meet our rigorous aerospace-grade specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Setup & Operation: Set up, load, and operate CNC machines (Mills/Lathes) to perform various machining functions.
G-Code Proficiency: Read and interpret G-code/M-code to understand tool paths, speeds, and feeds. Perform "dry runs" and make necessary offsets or program edits at the controller to ensure part accuracy.
Blueprints & GD&T: Read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Tooling: Select and install appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and accessories.
Inspection: Perform first-article and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges to maintain tolerances as tight as $±0.0005$.
Efficiency: Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to optimize cycle times and tool life.
Qualifications
Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in CNC Machining within a production environment.
Technical Skills: Must be able to read and edit G-code manually. Experience with [e.g., Haas, Fanuc, or Mazak] controls is highly preferred.
Math Skills: Strong proficiency in shop math, including geometry and trigonometry.
Quality Focus: Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 9001 or AS9100) is a major plus.
