Considering a host of recent initiatives, significant retail distribution opportunities, and high-growth e-commerce initiatives, there is no shortage of exciting projects for the Every Man Jack team.
THE ROLE
The Junior Accountant will support the Finance and Accounting team across a range of operational and project-based responsibilities, playing a key role in maintaining accuracy and consistency as Every Man Jack continues to scale. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, this role supports day-to-day accounting operations of the business, helps maintain the accuracy of our financial records, and contributes to month-end close processes. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to grow within a dynamic, purpose-driven consumer goods company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with Inventory Transactions and reconciliations
  • Claims support - obtain supporting documentation, including PODs, process for submission and provide regular tracking and reporting
  • Support tracking for overages billings
  • Assist with the submission of customer invoices through various retailer portals
  • Finance and Accounting team support.

Candidates must be passionate, organized, and love developing personal care, grooming, or skin care products. This person is highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills. While this candidate loves timelines and getting organized, this person has a remarkable ability to remain calm and flexible in the fast-paced, changing world of product development in a high-growth environment. The ideal candidate will be an intelligent team player - someone approachable with a positive, innovative, and professional attitude who works smarter, not harder, and takes on a "sleeves-rolled-up" and "can-do" attitude when faced with challenges. A true ambassador for EMJ, both internally and externally.
CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience; internship experience is welcome.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; comfort with formulas, pivot tables, and data organization.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Background in consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce industries.
  • Exposure to inventory accounting, 3PL reconciliations, or retail vendor compliance processes.
  • A proactive mindset with a desire to learn, improve processes, and take ownership of responsibilities.
