POSITION DETAILS
Position Summary
The Program Manager constantly monitors the progress of the job and interfaces with all internal departments in order to ensure that job contractual requirements are met. Attends the kick off meeting and to all relevant meetings with clients. They will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific Programs ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
Principal Activities
Lead the planning and implementation of global Programs
Facilitate the definition of Program scope, goals and deliverables
Define Program tasks and resource requirements
Develop full scale Program plans
Manage Program budget, resource allocation
Plan and schedule Program timelines
Track Program deliverables using appropriate tools
Constantly monitor and report on progress of the Program to all stakeholders
Implement and manage Program changes and interventions to achieve Program outputs
Program evaluations and assessment of results
Be a principal customer contact until the contract is shipped complete to the customer
Manage the financial health of Programs including status, revenues, metrics and reporting, actively impacting on Programs profitability.
Responsible for the business relationship with assigned customers in the administration of contracts. This includes direct customer liaison; coordination and communication of engineering and manufacturing schedules; control of order changes technically and commercially; assurance that test and quality standards are achieved; interface with the customer in drawing and document information exchanges; review of contract specifications and communication of the requirements to the Program Team.
Contract management and communication to assure customer satisfaction with cognizance of contract costs and schedule.
The Program Manager provides support in all areas including, procurement, scheduling, expediting, production, inspection, shipping and document control.
Manage Program risk issues including receivables, claims, contract changes, margin enhancement, and effective Program closeout
Lead Program team through a regular system of contract reviews to identify & manage risks, monitor operational performance against the agreed timescales, and instigates corrective action where appropriate
Provides effective communication within both organizations. This involves contract updates with the customer when appropriate. Regularly reviews status reports prepared by Program personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares Program update reports for customer and management
