Position Overview

GTI is seeking a Global Procurement Manager, Electrical to lead multi-site RFx and purchasing operations supporting direct Electrical material procurement. This role is responsible for managing coordinators, ensuring supplier execution, improving inventory performance, driving cost control, and maintaining uninterrupted material flow to production.

The Global Procurement Manager will partner closely with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain leadership to ensure procurement strategies align with production schedules, working capital targets, and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Purchasing Operations & Material Continuity
• Lead daily purchasing operations for the Electrical spend category
• Prevent shortages impacting production schedules, launches, or customer commitments
• Establish clear purchasing priorities aligned to production demand and business needs

Supplier Management & Commercial Ownership
• Manage supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and lead time adherence
• Lead pricing negotiations, commercial issue resolution, and annual cost improvement initiatives
• Develop alternate sources, dual-source strategies, and supplier recovery plans
• Build strong supplier relationships while holding accountability to performance standards

Inventory, Planning & KPI Management
• Partner with Planning and Operations to balance inventory turns, stock availability, and working capital objectives
• Improve supplier on-time delivery, shortage reduction, aged inventory, and purchase price variance metrics
• Use ERP/MRP signals to drive disciplined replenishment and procurement timing

Leadership & Team Development
• Lead  Purchasing Coordinators/Specialists for the Electrical Category
• Build accountability, urgency, communication discipline, and execution consistency
• Support hiring, onboarding, and growth of the purchasing organization

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Engineering on technical sourcing, alternates, and new product introduction (NPI) launches
• Work with Finance on accruals, payment issues, savings tracking, and inventory valuation impacts
• Coordinate with Warehouse and Receiving teams on inbound flow and supplier execution issues
• Support leadership on escalations, supply constraints, and strategic sourcing initiatives

Requirements

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 6–10+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams
• Manufacturing, industrial, or engineered-to-order purchasing background
• Strong ERP/MRP experience
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting modular manufacturing, fabrication, electrical integration, or industrial systems
• APICS, CPSM, CPM, Lean Six Sigma, or related certifications preferred
• Multi-site purchasing leadership experience preferred
