Job description

Under the general direction of the Area Coordinator and Assistant Area Coordinator, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all facets of the California Military Department (CMD) facilities maintenance to include minor Sustainment, Renovation, and Modernization (SRM) projects within the properties assigned within Area 5 that include the following counties: Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego, and Imperial counties.
Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month.
