Role Overview
The Appalachia Natural Gas Marketing Representative is responsible for supporting and executing natural gas marketing activities across the Appalachian Basin, including transaction execution, transportation optimization, commercial negotiations, position management, scheduling & scheduling oversight, market analysis, and counterparty relationship management.
This role owns and supports the commercial lifecycle from market strategy and deal execution through scheduling, settlement, and financial performance. - Market natural gas production across Appalachian supply basins.
- Manage producer, customer, pipeline, processor, and utility relationships.
- Negotiate and administer gas purchase, transportation, gathering, processing, and sales agreements.
- Evaluate commercial opportunities to maximize realized pricing and asset value.
- Support acquisition evaluations and commercial integration activities.
Position Management & Market Optimization
- Monitor daily and monthly gas positions.
- Manage transportation capacity utilization and optimization opportunities.
- Identify basis, transportation, and market arbitrage opportunities.
- Support hedging, risk management, and market analysis activities.
- Develop strategies to maximize netback values and commercial profitability.
Scheduling & Operational Coordination
- Partner closely with scheduling and operations teams to ensure successful transaction execution.
- Resolve pipeline, nomination, imbalance, and operational issues.
- Maintain awareness of operational constraints impacting commercial performance.
