The Midstream Marketer will be responsible for optimizing the value of the company's natural gas and NGL production through effective marketing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial midstream relationships. This role serves as the primary liaison between the company's upstream operations and midstream counterparties, ensuring efficient takeaway, transportation, and sales of produced hydrocarbons.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for natural gas and NGL production to maximize netback value.

  • Negotiate and manage agreements with midstream service providers, including gathering, processing, transportation, and fractionation contracts.

  • Coordinate with operations, production accounting, and land teams to ensure timely nominations, scheduling, and contract compliance.

  • Monitor and analyze market fundamentals, regional differentials, and pricing trends across key basins.

  • Manage day-to-day logistics of commodity movements, including pipeline scheduling and balancing activities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with midstream operators, marketers, purchasers, and pipeline companies.

  • Support commercial evaluations of new midstream infrastructure or connection opportunities.

  • Work closely with accounting to ensure accurate revenue recognition and settlement of marketing activities.

  • Track and report marketing performance metrics, pricing, and basis exposure to leadership.

  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with contractual, regulatory, and company standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in crude oil, natural gas, or NGL marketing - preferably within an upstream or midstream environment.

  • Strong understanding of midstream contracts, pipeline systems, and commercial terms.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Analytical and data-driven with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with energy trading or scheduling systems is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Gulf Coast, Permian, and Midcontinent market hubs preferred.
