Job Description Why is This a Great Opportunity. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a growing organization in the energy infrastructure sector. The role offers broad exposure to financial reporting, operational accounting, cash management, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives.

Working closely with executive leadership, including the CFO, this position provides the opportunity to contribute to strategic decision-making while maintaining hands-on involvement in day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a dynamic environment where they can take ownership of accounting processes, leverage technology to improve efficiencies, and play a key role in supporting the organization's continued growth. Job Description: The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.

This role manages core accounting functions, supports month-end and year-end close activities, assists with budgeting and forecasting, and serves as a key resource for internal stakeholders on accounting-related matters. Key Responsibilities Record and review daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, payroll, and credit card activity Prepare and post monthly journal entries and maintain supporting schedules Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes Monitor revenue and expense recognition and assist in developing appropriate controls and reporting processes Prepare financial analyses and reports for leadership to support business decisions Monitor cash balances and assist with cash flow forecasting and liquidity management Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable regulatory requirements Assist budget managers with the development and monitoring of departmental and project budgets Support external audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and system efficiencies Utilize financial systems and reporting tools to streamline workflows and enhance financial visibility Communicate financial performance, trends, and key insights to finance leadership Participate in special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed Qualifications: Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting Experience within the energy, utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing, or capital-intensive industries is a plus Prior experience supporting natural gas storage, pipeline, or midstream operations is preferred but not required CPA designation and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred Technical Skills Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Experience with ERP and financial management systems such as Sage Intacct, Oracle, or similar platforms Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling Strong data management, reporting, and analytical capabilities Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Professional Skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to present financial information clearly to various levels of management High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments Self-motivated with an ownership mentality and willingness to take initiative #ACCNOR #ACCEE
