ETRM Developer

Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Technology & Engineering | Type: Permanent

The Role

Capco is a global technology and management consultancy specializing in driving digital transformation across the financial services and energy sectors. As a full stack ETRM Developer, you will join our Technology & Engineering practice and play a key role in delivering and enhancing Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) solutions for leading energy organizations.

You will leverage your expertise in ETRM platforms, .NET technologies, and software engineering best practices to develop scalable, high-quality solutions that help clients optimize trading operations, manage risk, and achieve strategic business objectives.

What You'll Do
  • Deliver .NET implementation and enhancement projects, including custom extensions, integrations, data migrations, conversions, and reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, application components, and configuration changes across multiple client engagements.
  • Provide technical expertise in ETRM platforms across a range of energy commodities.
  • Support technical training initiatives and contribute to knowledge-sharing across project teams.
  • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and development teams to communicate progress and ensure successful project delivery.
What We're Looking For
  • Approximately five years of software development experience with strong full-stack development capabilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies including .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, Web API, SQL Server, and Reporting Services.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, query optimization, and stored procedure development.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, software architecture, and design patterns that support maintainable and reusable code.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments and solving complex business and technical challenges.

  • Hands-on experience with ETRM platforms.
  • Experience integrating ETRM systems with upstream or downstream enterprise applications.
