Position Summary

A full time, tenure track Middle School Math teacher position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, effective 9/1/2026.

The Guttenberg School District is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate educator with a love for mathematics to join our school community.Β Β Β 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver effective instruction in math.Β 
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with the NJSLS and district curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of students.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, educational technologies, and assessment methods to enhance student learning.
  • Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate and timely grading records.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, collaboration, and active participation.
  • Participate in yearly professional development in an effort to meet district-approved goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with a math grade level partner to align pacing and scope and sequence.
