Roles & Responsibilities
This role combines backend software development with expert-level Linux troubleshooting. You will build, optimize, and maintain Python-based applications and automation tools, while serving as the top-tier escalation point for complex Linux OS, network, and production environment issues.
• Level 3 Escalation: Triage, debug, and resolve complex L3 technical issues escalated by L1/L2 teams regarding Linux environments and Python applications
• Software Development: Write, maintain, and optimize robust Python code to build scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and data pipelines
• System Automation: Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts (Bash) and Python automation frameworks to reduce manual toil and streamline deployments
• Performance Tuning: Profile, identify, and fix bottlenecks within multi-threaded systems and on-prem or cloud Linux servers
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with DevOps, infrastructure, and engineering teams to ensure application high availability, failover, and continuous deliver
