Job description

Quennell Rothschild & Partners is seeking to fill two full-time positions (this Mid-Level as well as another Junior Level) for landscape designers to join our friendly, collaborative, and dedicated team. QRP works predominantly in the public realm and seeks candidates committed to improving the public environment.

Recent projects include award-winning waterfronts, urban parks, public open spaces and plazas, cultural institutions and historic sites, and campus planning and design. Please visit our website for more information โ€“ www.qrpartners.com.

QRP values in-person collaboration, and designers will work closely with QRPโ€™s partners and project managers. The successful candidate will be required to work in person in our lower Manhattan office.

Candidates should have experience with all phases of landscape design from conceptual design through the preparation of contract documents and strong AutoCAD and graphic skills. Experience with NYC public agency projects is a plus.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential skills and experience for Mid-Level Designer: 

  • AutoCAD, REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience producing realistic graphic renderings and visualizations using 3D modeling skills (Rhino and/or Sketchup) and Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Illustrator, In-Design, and Photoshop).
  • High level of English language writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and precise.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills including proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent design skills, and ability to translate concepts into feasible designs.
  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
  • At least 3 years with a landscape architecture practice or public agency.
  • Experience producing technical drawings and construction document drawing sets.
  • Construction administration experience is a plus.
  • Registered or pursuing licensure as a Landscape Architect in New York State is a plus.
  • Candidates with an architecture degree, whose portfolio exhibits experience and understanding of landscape design, may be considered.
  • Salary: $68 โ€“ 80K based on skills and experience
