Job Overview
Mid-level civil engineer wanted for growing full-service site design company located 10 minutes outside of Boston. Boston is the best small big city in the nation. It's got great nightlife, an exciting and very walkable downtown, amazing food, first in class history, incredible architecture, a bustling waterfront, a vibrant arts and music scene, the top higher-ed schools in the world, very friendly climate, confusing roads & a-hole drivers, ridiculously successful sports teams, and an outsized national personality. Our Ideal candidate is an experienced EIT with 5-10 years of experience and at least a BS degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution. Site design experience (grading, drainage, site layout) experience is preferred and required. Site layout, drainage, and grading expeirence is necessary. knowledge of how to prepare permitting packages is helpful. We will teach you all you will ever need to know about the local nuances of permitting. Solid AutoCAD ability is a must and familiarity with HydroCAD. Field experience performing land surveying using robotic total station OR experience performing survey research and setting up field crews also desired but not mandatory.
The work we do is very diverse ranging from roads, parking, utilities, site design and layout to athletic facilities, parks, playgrounds, and sophisticated college/university projects. We also work extensively in residential, retail, and office/commercial site design. Our company works throughout New England and the world on a wide variety of interesting and fulfilling projects. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. We are a fully integrated land development & design company offering all aspects of civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, land planning, environmental permitting, and construction management.

Duties
Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project schedules and timelines, ensuring timely completion of deliverables
Prepare technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other CAD software tools
Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards
Assist in construction management activities including site supervision, progress tracking, and quality assurance
Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools such as ArcGIS and HEC software for spatial analysis and system design
Support construction estimating processes by analyzing project scope, materials, labor costs, and resource allocation
Prepare technical reports and documentation through technical writing to communicate project progress and findings effectively
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; relevant master's degree is a plus
Proven experience in site design, project management, construction management, or civil engineering roles
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD,
Experience with construction estimating techniques and project scheduling methodologies
Familiarity with land surveying techniques
Good technical writing skills for preparing reports, schematics, and documentation
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
