Job Summary:
General Medicine is a company focused on simplifying the healthcare shopping experience. They are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer to help build and scale their consumer healthcare product, emphasizing technical excellence and collaboration across various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Help build and scale a healthcare store that makes it delightfully simple to shop for any type of care.
• Obsess over every detail of the patient experience.
• Tackle the complex operational challenges of delivering care at scale.
• Write product requirements documents.
• Write SQL to understand how features are performing.
• Own QA tasks.
• Operate in an environment of significant ambiguity.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years of experience building web apps as a full-stack engineer
• Experience with modern infra tooling and programming languages. We currently use AWS, Ruby on Rails, and NextJS, and would expect you to have proficiency in a modern tech stack even if it isn’t the one we are using.
Preferred:
• Healthcare background (though it’s great if you do!)
• Excited by the prospect of digging into the messy complexities of the American healthcare system (integrating with EHRs, revenue cycle management, etc)
