Mid-Level.NET Developer

PlanIT Group is seeking a Mid-Level.NET Developer for our Federal customer in the Boston, MA area. The ideal applicant will leverage their expertise in.NET development, database management, and web services to build and maintain robust applications. This position includes a 6-week orientation to ensure a strong foundation for success. This will be a hybrid schedule which means contractor will work on site but also can work remotely on occasion.

Duration: One year plus annual extensions

Job Description: We are looking for a talented Mid-Level.NET Developer with 5-7 years of hands-on experience to join our team in a dynamic hybrid role. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in.NET development, database management, and web services to build and maintain robust applications. This position includes a 6-week orientation to ensure a strong foundation for success. This will be a hybrid schedule which means contractor will work on site but also can work remotely on occasion.

Interview Process: First Interview via MS Team Video Link. Second onsite client interview

Key Responsibilities

  • Application Development: Develop, test, and maintain software applications and services using.NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET, C#, and VB.NET. Create, maintain, and optimize Windows Services for business operations.
  • Database Management: Design and manage SQL Server databases, including data modeling, performance tuning, and optimizing SQL queries. Implement and manage stored procedures, triggers, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for reporting needs.
  • Front-End Development: Develop responsive and interactive user interfaces using JavaScript and AJAX Toolkit. Ensure seamless integration between the front end and back end for a robust user experience.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Utilize SSRS to create, modify, and manage data-driven reports that meet business requirements. Design and implement reporting solutions that provide actionable insights.
  • Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting: Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues efficiently. Ensure code quality, performance, and security across all applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Skills: .NET Framework 4.8, ASP.NET, Windows Services, VB.NET/C# Proficient in SQL Server (Database design, stored procedures, triggers) Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Proficient in JavaScript and AJAX Toolkit for front-end interactivity

  • Onboarding: Includes an onsite comprehensive 6-week orientation program to ensure familiarity with the technology stack, tools, and project expectations.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid, with onsite collaboration as required by the project.

Additional Provisions

  • Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
  • Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
  • All candidates must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident only
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
  • Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
