Express Employment Professionals of Baton Rouge is currently seeking Construction Equipment Technicians for a local construction equipment supply company.
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Overtime Possible)
Pay: $32-$38/HR BOE
Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and mechanically skilled Equipment Technicians to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of construction equipment. This role involves daily inspections, troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems, and rebuilding major components. Candidates must be able to lift heavy items, work safely, and bring a solid set of personal tools. All experience levels are welcome-from entry-level to senior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance and inspections on construction equipment
  • Tear down and reassemble major components (engines, transmissions, hydraulic pumps, etc.)
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, including leaks, pressure issues, and cylinder problems
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring issues, sensors, and fault codes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and parts used
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Communicate equipment status and repair needs to supervisors

Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment, diesel, or heavy machinery repair
