Job description

The Opportunity

We’re building a world-class sales team to fuel the next phase of growth at one of America’s largest privately held equipment finance companies. As an Account Manager, you’ll architect capital solutions for mid-market companies across North America—transactions that banks can’t or won’t touch. You’ll close deals averaging $500k to $50 million, engage directly with C-suite decision-makers, and earn what you’re worth in a high-reward, performance-driven environment.

This isn’t transactional sales. It’s consultative problem-solving at scale. You’ll work with CEOs, CFOs, and VPs of Finance who need creative capital solutions to fuel rapid expansion, navigate business cycle volatility, or fund complex projects traditional lenders won’t finance. If you have the competitive drive, business acumen, and hunger to succeed, this is your opportunity to build a lucrative career in commercial equipment finance.

What You'll Do

Drive Daily Sales Activity:

  • Engage senior executive and finance leaders – including C-suite, CFOs, VPs of Finance, and Controllers – through proactive outbound conversations focused on capital needs and financing strategy. Purpose-driven call engagement aligned with equipment investment, growth, and asset optimization initiatives
  • Structured daily outreach windows focused on thoughtful, high-value executive conversations
  • Live discussions used to assess project scope, equipment needs, timing, and decision-maker alignment
  • Ongoing outreach translated into qualified meetings and well-documented opportunities for the sales team
  • Build pipeline through persistent, professional outreach

Master the Fundamentals:

  • Learn equipment finance, leasing structures, and capital markets
  • Understand how million-dollar deals get done
  • Develop consultative selling skills from experienced mentors
What You'll Bring
  • Competitive drive and an innate desire to succeed in a high-volume sales environment.
  • B2B sales experience (minimum 1 year successfully selling to executive-level management preferred).
  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Business acumen with a basic understanding of finance and accounting.
  • Persistence and assertiveness balanced with professionalism and integrity.
  • Desire to learn and develop specialized skills in commercial equipment finance.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Marketing preferred but not required.
  • Banking, leasing, finance, or private equity experience is a significant plus.
Career Growth & Development

First National offers a clear path to promotion. Top-performing Account Managers advance to Senior Account Manager, then to Vice President, where you’ll lead and mentor a team of your own. We promote from within and reward excellence with expanded responsibility, leadership opportunities, and accelerated earnings.

Success here isn’t about tenure—it’s about performance. If you consistently close deals, build relationships, and exceed goals, you’ll grow fast.

How Success Will Be Measured
  • Achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Quality of prospecting activity and pipeline development.
  • Number and dollar volume of closed transactions.
  • Relationship depth with key accounts and repeat business.
  • Speed and accuracy in deal structuring and execution.
  • Collaboration with internal teams and contribution to team goals.
  • ce business learned from the ground up.
  • Advance on a clearly defined, performance-driven career path beyond Account Manager
  • Originate and close their own transactions end-to-end
  • Unlimited earning potential (base + commission)
Why First National
  • Solve real problems. You’re not pushing products—you’re architecting capital solutions that fuel growth and solve challenges traditional lenders can’t.
  • Work with serious companies. Engage with mid-sized to large enterprises across aviation, construction, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, technology, transportation, and more.
  • Speed and flexibility. Our balance sheet strength and institutional funding relationships enable faster decisions and more creative solutions than traditional banks.
  • High-reward environment. Performance is recognized and compensated. Period.
  • Collaborative culture. You’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals who support your success.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary with a lucrative tiered commission structure (realistic six-figure income potential).
  • President’s Club Awards & Company Trips for top performers.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental.
  • 401(k)
  • Paid Vacation and paid time off.
  • Professional Training & Tuition Reimbursement programs.
  • Employee outings, activities, charitable events, and professional sports attendance.
  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday (inside sales role with minimal travel—2 to 4 trips per year as needed).
