Social Media Specialist - Mid Entry Level

Do you love creating content, following social trends, attending events, and finding new ways to connect brands with audiences online? Campbell Marketing & Communications is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Specialist to support social media efforts for a variety of B2B and B2C clients, as well as Campbell?s own social channels. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their social media career in a collaborative agency environment while gaining hands-on experience across exciting industries, live events, and digital campaigns.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of social media, marketing, or agency experience, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. This individual should be organized, adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while collaborating closely with internal teams and clients.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of social media strategies and day-to-day account activities for assigned clients.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a strong understanding of each client?s business objectives, industry, and target audience.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and internal team members to support client success across multiple accounts.
  • Collaborate with all teams within Campbell Marketing & Communications regularly to support external communications and social media initiatives.
  • Assist with social media moderation and community management, engagement for assigned clients.
  • Work with a team daily to develop social content calendars for assigned clients.
  • Provide insight, content recommendations based on social media reports and analytics.
  • Participate in brainstorming channel-specific trends and opportunities to enhance social content regularly.
  • Attend events and liaise with clients to cover activities from a social media perspective.
  • Maintain strong organization and communication while managing multiple projects and deadline.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required/Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in digital media, marketing, public relations, communications, or related field
  • One or two years of experience in social media, marketing, or agency-related role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with, and understanding of, current and emerging social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn
  • Proficient in strategic thinking, adept at interpreting analytics, and skilled in delivering performance-enhancing recommendations for social channels.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and public speaking skills
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of motorsports, specifically off-road a plus.
  • Automotive market knowledge is a plus.
  • Content creation abilities (photo, graphic design) are a plus.
  • The role will flex across Campbell Marketing & Communications clients ranging across various industries.
  • Moderate travel required (8-10 events/year), including some weekend/evening hours.

Additional Information:

  • This position is open to hybrid work in the Detroit, MI area.
  • Salary range starts at $48,000.00.
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.  This is a U.S. based role.
  • A valid Driver?s License and clear driving record are required.
