Travel MICU Registered Nurse - Critical Care RN Job in Everett, WA

Travel MICU RN needed in Everett, Washington for a high-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit. Job Requirements
  • At least 1 year of recent MICU or comparable critical care nursing experience required
  • Prior travel RN experience required
  • Active Registered Nurse license required
  • Compact RN license must be in hand at submission
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Experience with EPIC charting required
  • Ability to manage a 2:1 patient ratio, with flexibility up to 4:1 if boarders are present
  • Experience with adult ICU procedures and critical care equipment preferred
  • Must be comfortable floating as needed based on census
  • Weekend coverage required
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, high-quality care as a Medical ICU nurse to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
  • Monitor and manage patients with respiratory failure, shock states, multisystem organ failure, stroke, ARDS, DKA, and other critical conditions
  • Support ventilated patients and manage advanced respiratory therapies in the intensive care unit
  • Assist with bedside procedures including central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tube placement, rapid sequence intubation, and thoracentesis
  • Respond confidently to code situations and rapidly changing patient conditions in a fast-paced ICU environment
  • Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips as ordered
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV teams, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Accurately document patient care, assessments, and interventions in EPIC
  • Maintain a patient-focused approach while delivering safe, effective critical care nursing services
