Job description

Planet Technologies, the Nation's leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team asan O365 Infrastructure Architect. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country. 
 
As part of Planet's O365 Infrastructure Team, these Architects use their deep technical knowledge working directly with our SLG, Commercial and DIB clients to creating strategic vision for custom infrastructure solutions, then leading, managing and deploying these projects within the specifications created.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and provide strategic vision to large technical teams on complex Microsoft 365 modernization projects
  • Translate client requirements into an Architectural design and influence the deployment of key infrastructure components by surfacing ad analyzing customer business requirments.
  • Design, construct, configure, and maintain all facets of a Microsoft 365 tenant
  • Plan and execute an end-to-end implementation of Microsoft 365 infrastructure workloads
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Microsoft 365 and related core technologies
  • Provide guidance and technical insight allowing customers make more complex decisions around features and capabilities
  • Provide leadership across practice areas including new technologies including process improvement or standardization on elements that will have broad impact
  • Participate in presales calls and activities assisting to provide solutions to customer requirements like identification, scope, and refer opportunities for additional sales for Planet provided services and offerings
Skills Required
  • Responsible for creating strategic vision for Microsoft 365 modernization efforts for commercial and/or Defense Industrial Based organizations leading, managing and deploying complex projects with in scope and expectation of customer expectations
  • Required experience includes:
    • Exchange: Must have real-world, hands-on experience delivering messaging and collaboration solutions utilizing Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 within large complex environments. This includes extensive hybrid and third-party migration experience.
    • Microsoft 365: Subject matter expert for Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Teams Voice, and other O365 workloads.
    • Microsoft Security Stack: Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Entra ID, Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention and Compliance Center Experience including - Litigation Hold, Retention, and eDiscovery.
    • Active Directory: Must have real-world experience helping to managing and maintaining AD, GPO's, On-Premises Active Directory Migrations.
    • Experience with Teams Voice experience is a plus.
  • Ability to implement related technologies and understand their dependencies in complex enterprise environments
  • Proactively responding to internal and external technical communities with deep technical knowledge and communication skills that build relationships
  • Ability to proactively collaborate across internal, customer, and key partner teams
  • Thought leader on solving problems in complex M365 environments
  • Experience effectively articulating escalations issues and communicating progress to stakeholders
  • The desire to have ownership and commitment to the successful technical delivery of complex projects in large enterprise environments
