TD Thornton is seeking a Business Applications Developer with experience in the Microsoft Power Platform to support major utility and infrastructure programs. This role will focus on designing and developing business applications and workflow automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, streamline data collection, and enhance reporting capabilities for our clients.

The ideal candidate understands business processes and operational workflows and can translate business requirements into practical solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. This individual will be responsible for taking applications from concept to launch, including building data intake forms, automating workflows, and developing reporting dashboards that enable better decision-making.

Your Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Design and develop Power Platform solutions that support operational and project workflows.
  • Build Power Apps applications that allow users to capture, manage, and track operational or project data.
  • Create automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes and reduce manual tasks.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reports to provide data visibility and insights for program leadership.
  • Build data intake forms and workflow tools that connect to reporting dashboards and analytics platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into functional applications and automation solutions.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including Excel and Power Query, into Power Platform solutions.
  • Support the full lifecycle of application development, including design, development, testing, deployment, and user support.
  • Provide documentation and user guidance to ensure solutions are sustainable and scalable.

The Job Requirements:

  • 3–8 years of professional experience in business applications development, workflow automation, or data analytics.
  • Minimum 1 year of substantial experience with Power Apps and Power Automate within the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience designing and building SharePoint sites
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
