Job Title: UX Researcher
Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid)
 
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced UX Researcher to drive AI-augmented research initiatives and deliver actionable insights through quantitative, qualitative, and behavioral data analysis. The role requires strong expertise in research methodologies, statistical analysis, product analytics, and AI-enabled research practices.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply AI tools throughout research workflows, including synthesis, analysis, screener design, and report generation.
  • Lead and co-create initiatives that accelerate AI adoption and research maturity.
  • Share industry best practices and innovative approaches for scaling research through AI.
  • Coach team members and promote AI-native research methods.
Quantitative Research & Statistics
  • Design, execute, and analyze quantitative studies, including large-scale surveys, concept testing, and benchmark studies.
  • Apply statistical methods such as significance testing, regression analysis, factor analysis, conjoint analysis, MaxDiff, and related techniques.
  • Generate insight-driven recommendations from quantitative data to support product and business decisions.
  • Partner with analytics teams to ensure robust research methodologies.
Behavioral Product Data Analysis
  • Extract, interpret, and communicate insights from behavioral data using tools such as Power BI, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar platforms.
  • Combine product usage data with primary research findings to uncover actionable insights.
  • Identify behavioral patterns that guide hypothesis development and research prioritization.
  • Collaborate with engineering and research teams to establish access to relevant data sources and signals.
Qualitative Research
  • Plan and facilitate user interviews, usability studies, diary studies, and contextual inquiries.
  • Apply thematic analysis, affinity mapping, and Jobs-to-be-Done frameworks.
  • Translate research findings into compelling narratives for product, design, and leadership stakeholders.
Cross-Team AI Acceleration
  • Lead AI-focused research initiatives from planning through delivery while partnering with fellow researchers.
  • Develop AI-assisted processes, templates, and playbooks that support daily research activities.
  • Collaborate on shared AI programs that enhance team capability and adoption.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and propose scalable AI-enabled solutions.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, methodological rigor, and shared ownership of AI maturity.
Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI tools in research environments.
  • Strong quantitative research expertise, including survey design, statistical analysis, and insight generation.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing behavioral data from Power BI, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent platforms.
