Position Description and Job Skill Set

We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Dynamics 365 Developer to design, develop, configure, and support enterprise business applications built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform ecosystems.
This position will play a key role in modernizing agency operations by delivering secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions that improve business processes, increase operational efficiency, and support

economic development initiatives.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments while also developing custom enterprise solutions using the Microsoft technology stack.
This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to implement applications that support grants management, project management, customer engagement, licensing, workflow automation, reporting, and other agency business functions.

This position requires a balance of functional configuration expertise, custom software development skills, systems integration experience, and knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

*Design, configure, customize, develop, and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications.

*Configure Dynamics 365 entities, forms, dashboards, business process flows, business rules, security roles, and workflows.

*Develop custom functionality using C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Power Platform components.

*Build and maintain Model-Driven Apps and Canvas Apps using Microsoft Power Apps.

*Design and automate business processes using Microsoft Power Automate.

*Develop executive dashboards, operational reports, and analytical solutions using Microsoft Power BI.

*Create custom plugins, workflow extensions, custom APIs, and web resources.

*Configure Microsoft Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, security models, and data validation.

*Develop integrations between Dynamics 365 and internal or external systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Microsoft Graph.

*Participate in application architecture, solution design, code reviews, and technical planning.

*Support data migration, data conversion, and system integration initiatives.

*Configure and maintain Development, Test, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environments.

*Manage solution deployments using Azure DevOps, Git repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.

*Troubleshoot application issues, optimize system performance, and provide production support.

*Produce technical documentation, deployment documentation, and system architecture diagrams.

*Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.

*Participate in Agile software development activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily stand-up meetings.

*Ensure applications comply with security, accessibility, and State technology standards.


Required Skills/Experience

Minimum of 3 years Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Five (5) years of professional experience developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.

Three (3) years of experience developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform.

Experience configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments.

Experience developing custom plugins, workflows, integrations, and extensions.

Experience building Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.

Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design.

Experience integrating enterprise systems using web services and REST APIs.


Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications. Microsoft Power Platform certifications. Microsoft Azure certifications.

Experience with grants management, financial systems, licensing, permitting, or case management applications

Experience working within state government or other public-sector organizations.

Experience supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

Experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD practices.
