Overview

CommIT Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Senior Exchange Administrator to

support an enterprise hybrid environment of Exchange 2019 and O365 environments on both unclassified and classified networks, supporting over 260,000 users across multiple AD domains. The messaging environment consists of Microsoft Exchange mail services (Client Access, Hub Transport, and Mailbox server roles), Intune Mobility Services, NetApp backup and restore solutions, along with UnitySync directory synchronization services. The underlying infrastructure consists of physical servers, VMware Virtualization and NetApp storage solutions.

The ideal candidate will use their expertise and knowledge in messaging and directory services to configure aspects of and provide messaging support to the Microsoft Enterprise Exchange environment. They will assist with all phases of planning, documenting, installing, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain a high-availability Exchange environment.

Responsibilities

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to-

  • Supports the overall health of technologies associated with the Enterprise Messaging environment.

  • Provides Microsoft Enterprise Exchange operational configuration management support.

  • Resolves Tier III messaging tickets.

  • Configures Antivirus products and HBSS as they relate to Exchange Servers.
  • Provides guidance and instruction (to include written documentation) such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and inputs into the knowledge management system repository to the service desk for handling standard Message related incidents and service requests.
  • Provides documentation, guidance and instruction to the Tier 1 and Tier II service desks for the handling of standard Messaging related incidents, work orders and service requests.

  • Monitor the health of Messaging systems with provided event management tools.

  • Implements monitoring tools thresholds and conducts proactive event remediation.

  • Ensures that any latency is identified and mitigated/remediated upon discovery in accordance with required response times.

  • Monitors availability of system upgrades.

  • Provide Directory Support for the following products: ADLDS, Unity Sync, Identity Integration Feature Pack, and Forefront Identity Manager to manage the Government Global Address List (GAL).

  • Provides analysis and remediation for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) for all responsible technologies in preparation for annual Commanders Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI).

  • Provide input and assistance with integration of new capabilities and engineered solutions.

  • Provide reconfiguration and optimization recommendations, in writing, of supported technologies as required.

  • Support the provision of services in supported technology areas assigned. 

  • Support configuration, documentation, and planning of Disaster Recovery related items.

  • Perform systems performance monitoring type work.

  • Provide input and updates to business process models.

  • Maintain, update, and support the development of operational documentation that includes but not limited to: Work instructions; Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); System diagrams.

Qualifications

Required Experience and Education:

  • Professional series Certification (e.g. MCSE [AD or Exchange], MCITP [AD or Exchange])

  • IAT III - (CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP [Associate], GCED, GCIH, or CCSP)

  • 7 years related experience with Microsoft Exchange and O365

  • Exchange 2019

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with 2019 and Office 365

Security Clearance:

  • Top Secret w/SCI eligibility

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment.  Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.  The working environment is generally favorable.  Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.  Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

  • Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible

  • Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages
