Location: Houston TX -Hybrid 3 days a week

Duration: 6-12 months

Power BI Developer will help transforming raw data to valuable and meaningful insights in the form of appealing dashboards and reports. The Power BI Developer should understand the Power BI platform and its tools very well. A Power BI Developer takes complete responsibility of the development.

Job Duties/Roles

  • Create, maintain, and enhance enterprise and application-level reports using Microsoft Power BI platform.
  • Provides design consulting in the areas of Analytics, Data Warehousing, Scorecards, Dashboards, Business Performance Monitoring and Data Mining.
  • Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise in various data management, warehousing, business intelligence and Big Data solutions.
  • Standardize cross-departmental data definitions, KPIs, and calculations.
  • Provide status reports to senior management; and create data visualizations that leverage all features of Power BI (Copilot, Parameters, Filters, Advanced Charts, Data Connections, Actions, Dashboards, etc.) with these visualizations presenting data to distinguish patterns and recognize trends, by presenting complex patterns in the form of easily deciphered charts and graphs.
  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the internal customer experience.
  • Create custom SQL to query complex data models in the most effective way for the database and the application servers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required (KSAR)

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Power BI development
  • Highly proficient in SQL
  • High proficient in developing solutions using Power Platform.
  • Experience in the Azure suite such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse is nice to have,
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills consistent with a client group, including senior managers & executives.
  • Attentive to details
  • Highly proficient in translating complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work with data warehouse team to identify data dependencies and data requirements.
  • Experience in writing DAX queries and functions.
