Power BI Developer (3-Month Contract)


Location: Concord / Vaughan, ON (On-site – 5 days per week)

Duration: Fixed-term contract – 3 months, with the possibility of extension

About the Opportunity

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a global leader in emissions control solutions serving the off-highway, industrial, and specialized vehicle markets. The company partners with leading engine manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and aftermarket customers to deliver innovative environmental solutions.


They are seeking a Power BI Developer to support business intelligence and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and enterprise reporting environments. This role will focus on developing dashboards, connecting and modeling data, and delivering reporting solutions that support business operations.


This is an on-site contract position based in Concord/Vaughan and requires candidates to work in the office five days per week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Build and manage data connections to SQL Server and other enterprise data sources.
  • Develop and maintain semantic models using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Support Power BI On-Premises environments, including gateway configuration and maintenance.
  • Create KPI dashboards and business intelligence reports for various departments.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain Crystal Reports as required.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, optimize report performance, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Document reporting processes, data models, and technical solutions.


Qualifications

  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing queries and working with relational databases.
  • Experience with Power BI On-Premises environments and data gateways.
  • Knowledge of DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Crystal Reports is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
