Job Summary: 

The Rotman Research Institute (RRI) is a premier interdisciplinary, international centre for the study of human brain function. Our core research themes are: Cognitive Neuroscience, Aging and Brain Health, Alzheimer’s and Related Diseases, Computational Modeling and Neuroinformatics. Our research focuses on cognitive brain functions (including memory, executive function, attention, perception, and language), both in normal aging and in the presence of diseases and conditions that affect the brain, such as Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, stroke, and traumatic brain injury.  The Rotman Research Institute supports behavioral, neuropsychological, neuroimaging, and neurocomputational studies with state-of-the-art facilities, including eye-tracking, electroencephalography, and magnetoencephalography laboratories and a research-dedicated Siemens 3 Tesla MRI in-house at Baycrest.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Modification of web functionalities within a live framework.
  • Creation of new web modules.
  • Bug isolation and correction.
  • Creating documentation for technical and non-technical users.
  • Data entry and data correction.
  • Performs IT-Technician duties, as required, or as needs arise.

Qualifications include but are not limited to: 

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science.

Required skills/experience: 

  • Skilled in Python, HTML, Apache, MySQL, with heavy focus on PHP.
  • Should be able to integrate CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
  • Must be capable of working within Linux.
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in both GUI and command-line environments.
  • Familiarity with how CMS operate will be beneficial.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Schedule/location: 

  •  Negotiable part-time 3 days/week up to full-time 5 days/week.
  • Work will be on-site.
  •  Possibility of working from home will be evaluated based on task evolution.

Compensation:

  • The salary range for this position is $66,021 – 82, 526.
  • Your placement within the target hiring range will depend on your job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant education and experience, as well as considerations such as market conditions and internal equity. The starting salary will be determined using these factors to ensure fairness and consistency across the organization.
