Overview

FocusPoint is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to identify a Pricing Transparency BI Developer who will support enterprise-wide analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. This role focuses on developing and maintaining BI tools, supporting pricing transparency operations, and enabling data-driven decision-making across financial and operational teams.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, experience with BI platforms, and a deep understanding of healthcare financial data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day‑to‑day operations related to pricing transparency analytics and associated business intelligence applications.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain BI tools and dashboards, including Qlik‑based applications or similar analytics platforms.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret organization-wide reporting related to pricing transparency, payer data, and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, analytics, IT, and operational teams to deliver accurate, actionable insights.
  • Partner with technology teams to implement solutions that improve data accessibility, reporting efficiency, and end‑user experience.
  • Utilize knowledge of patient financials, revenue cycle data, and healthcare financial systems to support reporting and analysis.
  • Assist in designing and developing advanced ad‑hoc reports and analytics deliverables.
  • Identify and document reporting requirements in collaboration with business partners.
  • Extract, transform, and manipulate data from multiple databases and data sources.
  • Participate in acceptance testing, quality assurance, and validation of reporting outputs.
  • Perform additional analytics or reporting tasks as assigned.

Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience working with large datasets and complex financial or operational data environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science) preferred.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Technical & Professional Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency with BI and analytics platforms (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Advanced skills in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Teradata, cloud-based data platforms).
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office capabilities.
  • Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle concepts, payer structures, and financial reporting.
