Job description

Position : Microservice Solution Architect
Location : Seattle, WA - Remote
Duration : 6+ Months Contract
MUST HAVE
Commerce tools experience is must.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Create technical vision & provide architectural assessments, strategies, roadmaps for Digital Program teams.
  • Keep the product advancing by incorporating the newest features to the product while ensuring that the features released are working as expected
  • Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, and release features.
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
  • Create detailed architecture including recommendations for API / micro-services enablement, cloud migration, etc.
  • Engage with Domain Architects and technical teams to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
  • Support product launches in UAT and prod go live
  • Investigate new technologies and techniques and research ongoing industry developments through a partnership with the Architecture team
  • Mentor project delivery teams on adopting to DevOps model, new ideas/technologies
  • Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or applicable experience in information / computer technology field.
  • 12+ years' experience designing design scalable, secure modern micro-services using Spring Boot, Commerce tools, test driven development, and cloud native design patterns.
  • Experience in defining & realizing end-to-end Solution Architecture for large & complex systems.
  • Very strong technical skills with at least 10 years hands-on design, coding, integration, and deployment experience in enterprise applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in architecting the Digital Retail landscape is required.
  • Extensive knowledge and application of Design Patterns.
  • Strong understanding of microservice architecture & knowledge of challenges related to building cloud-native apps
  • Experience in design and development of RESTful APIs using JAX-RS and JSON
  • Solid working experience with AWS.
  • Strong software development fundamentals, including automated testing, source control, continuous integration in addition to continuous delivery and/or deployment
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting for microservices.
  • Hands-on experience to support development, infrastructure, and operations
  • Experience working with security log analysis, application logs, and general log management practices
  • Experience working with Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform
  • Experience in design and integration with 3rd parties
  • Deep knowledge in DevOps, CICD practices is a must
  • Commerce domain knowledge a must
  • Background in agile methodologies is highly valued.
