Job Description Summary

We are looking for a DevOps or Platform Engineer with a strong focus on containerization. In this role, you will support and optimize Kubernetes based workloads, and ensure smooth, automated deployment workflows for containerized applications. You will use Terraform and Helm Charts to build automation that improves reliability and reduces operational overhead, while maintaining secure CI and CD pipelines in Jenkins.

Job Description

Please note: This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.

This position follows our hybrid workstyle policy: Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10-12 days a month.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Kubernetes based environments

  • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code via Terraform

  • Build and maintain Helm charts for standardized and secure application deployments

  • Develop and maintain microservices used for automation by automated workflows

  • Support containerized applications and troubleshoot deployment issues

  • Improve reliability, scalability, and security across the platform

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline deployments and operational workflows

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar role

  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes

  • Experience navigating multiple distributed Kubernetes clusters, Rancher experience a plus

  • Proficiency with Terraform for automation and configuration management

  • Solid microservice development experience using Python or other programming language

  • Experience CI and CD pipelines using Jenkins

  • Expertise in designing and refining Docker images to create secure images

  • General knowledge of containers and modern Platform Engineering or DevOps practices

  • Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues

  • Strong focus on automation, reliability, and operational excellence

Education

Bachelor's: Computer and Information Science, Bachelor's: Computer Engineering, High School (HS) (Required)
