Central Laboratory - Microbiology

Location: 2434 Interstate Plaza Dr. Hammond, IN 46324

Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM; Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation

We are one of the largest integrated laboratory networks serving hospitals in the Midwest region. Our network includes 32 hospitals and multiple physician offices.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

This individual is responsible for supervising, planning and controlling all lab operations and personnel in the Microbiology Laboratory section. As well, is responsible for Technical Supervision (technical and scientific oversight) for this specialty area. The technical supervisor is accessible to the laboratories at all times, either on site or by telephone. This individual shall maintain a healing environment for employees and patients with a spirit of caring and concern as incorporated in the philosophy of our Catholic healthcare systems while performing all job functions.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor's degree in the Sciences with Medical Technology training and four (4) years relevant experience in high complexity testing of Microbiology.

Equivalent (as defined in CLIA 42CFR493.1461. 

Specialist in Microbiology (SM ASCP) strongly preferred.
