THE JOB:
Join the MGM Grand team as a Facilities Systems Operator and become a key player in delivering exceptional experiences! In this dynamic role, you'll manage inbound maintenance requests, dispatch engineering teams, and respond to life safety system alerts, ensuring a safe and seamless environment for both guests and staff. Your quick thinking and attention to detail will help resolve issues efficiently while contributing to the WOW moments that make MGM Grand unforgettable. If you have at least one year of dispatch experience, a passion for service, and are ready to take on exciting challenges we want to hear from you!
THE STARTING RATE: $19.36 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Maintenance Request Management: Answer incoming calls related to maintenance and repair needs for on-site and off-site properties, logging details into the system.
  • Task Assignment: Allocate work orders to engineering personnel based on the information received from calls.
  • Life Safety System Response: Monitor fire alarm panels and other safety system alerts, identify the affected area, and promptly dispatch engineering teams to address the situation.
  • Personnel Coordination: Record all employee call-ins and direct them to the appropriate department or staff for follow-up.
  • Activity Tracking: Maintain a detailed dispatch log to track all actions and activities throughout the day for accountability and transparency.
  • Emergency Documentation: Accurately document time and activities during emergency events to ensure proper record-keeping and coordination.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of prior dispatch experience required.
  • Availability: Must be flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Life Safety Systems: Familiarity with life safety systems and emergency response protocols.
