The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for driving profitable growth within assigned key accounts in the automotive aftermarket, with a focus on engine components and related product lines. This role manages warehouse distributors and private label customers, while actively developing new business opportunities and long-term partnerships.
The KAM owns the commercial relationship, delivers revenue and margin targets, and plays a critical role in identifying new products and market opportunities. This position also collaborates cross-functionally to support product development, launches, and go-to-market strategies.
*Essential Functions:*
* To identify new potential customers that can create value for the organization in a medium-long run without breaking the channels already established by the organization and the market. Identifies development potential in accounts by studying current business; identifying and evaluating additional customerโ€™s needs; analyzing sales opportunities.
* Meets or exceeds customer business plan objectives including annual top line sales forecast and contribution margin.
* Develops objectives, strategies and action plans for new products, existing product line development, new business opportunities and related pricing.
* Manages and provides support to existing customer accounts and develops strong customer relationship to position the company for future new business opportunities.
* Drives sales in current segments and in new segments with new customer development.
* Provides advice to customers regarding product options (pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, valve train, etc.), and supports a partnerโ€™s product requirements. Maintains knowledge of new and existing products, as well as report competitor activities and systems.
* Develop action plans and recommendations to meet or exceed customer expectations.
* Monitors expenses to ensure compliance with budget, policies and procedures, provide senior management regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline, and market insights and activities, Maintain CRM data integrity and account documentation.
* Participate in the development of annual sales plan, monthly sales forecast, sales budget and annual marketing plan as required.
* Participates in the development of new programs and products required by his/her customers or potential customers.
* Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying customer needs to be filled; monitor competitive products; analyzing trends and relaying customer reactions.
* Act as the primary interface between customers and internal teams (supply chain, operations, finance, marketing, engineering). Lead Cross functional Collaboration for account success and program execution.
*Qualifications and skills Requirements:*
* Education required on Business/Engineering/Marketing or other related degree
* Experience in the aftermarket industry
* Strong commercial and financial acumen.
* Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
* Technical understanding of automotive engine products and applications
* Strategic thinking with execution focus.
* Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
* Excellent time management skills in planning and organization.
* Future and result oriented combined with intercultural competencies.
* Ability to work in a matrix organization with multiple reporting lines across different countries.
* Intermediate Spanish proficiency is desirable.
*Additional Information:*
* The work can be performed remotely if the candidate is unable to relocate to the areas where we have operations (Atlanta, GA; Prattville, AL; Auburn Hills, MI).
* Travel availability by car and plane, 50% travel expected.
* Must have a valid driver license with good driving record.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
