Job description

THE ROLE

Our Night Crew Clerks enjoy working in a project-oriented role, focused on supporting the store operations through product maintenance and guest service during the overnight shift. These are the team members who ensure our beautiful displays are clean, well-stocked and visually appealing. Our fast-paced environment requires Night Crew Clerks to successfully prioritize between routine tasks (such as stocking and checking) and immediate guest needs. We seek outgoing, friendly individuals to help maintain our robust marketplace!


MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'D DO

  • Provide outstanding customer service and readily communicate product information to increase sales, meet revenue goals, and best serve guests.
  • Efficiently stock shelves with products, face merchandise, and perform shelf maintenance.
  • Promptly discard any products that do not meet HACCP and Department of Health standards, or appear less than presentable under Metropolitan Market's quality expectations.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in product management and presentation, supporting and executing production of product merchandising and displays.
  • Accurately and efficiently perform checking duties; including proper cash handling.
  • Effectively deter internal and external loss, participate in physical inventories, and practice inventory control.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties within the store.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality output while working within deadlines; they will possess excellent time management and organizational skills.

Our team members deliver exceptional customer service and possess strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Hired team members will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of food, including ingredients, applications, pronunciations, and culinary skills.

We strive to find candidates with knowledge of food safety, HACCP/Department of Health guidelines. Ideally, our new Night Crew Clerk will have proven experience working in a grocery department.
