Job description

Metal Roofing Subcontractor (1099)

Location: Greater St. Louis / St. Charles County, MO
Company: Best Choice Roofing of Greater St. Louis
Compensation: 1099 contracts with pay per project competitive per-SQ or per-job rates, fast pay, steady residential metal volume

About Us

Best Choice Roofing of Greater St. Louis is one of Missouris fastest-growing roofing and exterior companies and an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, known for quality installs, strong systems, and professional project management.
We are expanding our metal roofing division and are seeking to partner with independently operated metal roofing subcontractors capable of installing residential and light-commercial metal systems throughout St. Charles County and the Greater St. Louis metro area.
Work Youll Perform

Were looking for experienced metal roofing crews skilled in:
  • Standing seam metal roofing (mechanically seamed & snap-lock)
  • Exposed fastener / agricultural metal systems
  • Confirm all field measurements
  • Residential metal reroofs and tear-offs
  • Pole barns, post-frame buildings, and outbuildings
  • Metal trim, flashing, ridge caps, valleys, and transitions
  • Underlayment, ice & water shield, and ventilation integration
  • Chimney, wall, and penetration flashing
  • Document installation with photos on CompanyCam
  • Selective repairs and partial replacements (when applicable)
Projects include single-family homes, rural properties, pole barns, detached garages, and select light-commercial structures.
Why Partner With Us

  • Consistent metal roofing volume (residential + specialty projects)
  • Clear scopes, clean contracts, and organized scheduling
  • Materials can be delivered to site you focus on installation
  • Fast payment after approved completion
  • Professional sales & project management no homeowner chaos
  • Long-term partnership opportunity, not one-off jobs
  • Safety expectations aligned with OSHA standards and best practices
Requirements

To qualify for subcontracted metal roofing work, crews must provide:
  • Valid drivers license
  • Social Security card or FEIN letter (matching your entity name)
  • Completed W-9 form
  • Proof of active General Liability insurance ($1M / $2M aggregate)
  • Proof of Workers Compensation insurance ($1M)
  • Acknowledgment of site safety and fall-protection requirements
  • All required tools, brakes, seamers, cutters, safety gear, and transportation
Insurance must explicitly cover metal roofing operations and match the insured entity on your FEIN or SSN.
What Successful Partners Deliver

  • Proven metal roofing experience (not asphalt-only crews trying metal)
  • Proper fastening, seaming, flashing, and expansion detailing
  • Clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Professional communication with project managers and homeowners
  • Reliability on schedules, craftsmanship, and final punch-out quality
Subcontractor crews determine their own staffing, work hours, and installation methods, provided all work meets project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and local building codes.
Compensation & Payment

  • Paid per project or per SQ, depending on system and scope
  • Competitive, standardized metal rates based on roof type
  • Prompt payment upon completion and approval
  • No hourly wages, benefits, or employee supervision
Payment is issued per the independent contractor agreement. Subcontractors operate independently and retain control over which projects they accept.
