Job description

Job Title: Sr. Project Manager

Location: Camden, NJ

Type: 6+ Month Contract

Rate: $Open /hr.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end implementation of Meter Data Management (MDM) systems across enterprise environments.

Manage complex integrations between MDM, AMI, CIS, billing systems, outage management systems (OMS), ERP, and other enterprise platforms.

Oversee coordination and governance of up to 10 vendor integration partners, ensuring alignment with project scope, timelines, and quality standards.

Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

Drive system design workshops, requirements gathering, and architecture alignment sessions.

Ensure data validation, migration, and reconciliation processes meet accuracy and compliance standards.

Manage testing phases including SIT, UAT, performance testing, and go-live readiness.

Implement strong change management and stakeholder communication strategies.

Provide executive-level reporting on program progress, financials, risks, and KPIs.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards applicable to utilities and energy sectors.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of Project Management experience in enterprise IT or utility environments.

Proven experience leading large-scale Meter Data Management (MDM) implementations.

Strong experience managing complex system integrations with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated success managing multiple vendor integrators (5-10+ vendors).

Experience working within utilities, energy, or smart grid programs.

Strong knowledge of AMI, CIS, billing systems, and data exchange frameworks.

Excellent financial forecasting, budgeting, and vendor contract management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

PMP or equivalent certification.

Experience with leading MDM platforms (e.g., Itron, Oracle Utilities MDM, Siemens EnergyIP, Landis+Gyr, etc.).

Knowledge of utility regulatory compliance standards.

Experience in smart grid or digital transformation initiatives.
