Who we are:

Fabtek Industries manufactures custom metal hatches, doors, and windows for ships.  Our closures are installed on a variety of work boats, military vessels, and yachts. Our website is www.fabtekind.com

About the Position:

Fabtek is looking to hire a unique/cross-functional metal fabrication position; one where a candidate will move around the shop to a variety of tasks, including:

- Assembly – fabricate parts and assemble our products

- Bending – operating our metal bender to bend extrusions

- Machining – assisting the lead machinist on lathes and mills

- The position reports to our Plant Supervisor and is immediately available

- We are in Arlington, WA – near the Arlington Airport

Work Schedules:

- Fabtek has an early work schedule that allows for open afternoons and better commuting hours

- We work Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

- Wage $25 to $30 depending on experience

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Metal working experience, ideally 3+ years

- Prior experience in Assembly / Bending / Machining

- Excellent tape measure and math skills

- Disciplined, self-motivated and organized

- Punctual, professional ethics and positive attitude

- Ability to work overtime when required

- Authorized to work in the United States

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

- Frequent walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching

- Work around machinery with moving parts

- Work around metal cuts offs and particulates related to cutting, grinding, and fabricating metal

- Work in varying temperatures and reasonable noise levels

- Fabtek will provide the proper safety gear & work area
