Job description

Location: Charleston, SC
Pay: $26–$36/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 4/10s, Monday–Thursday
Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for commercial and industrial projects in Charleston, SC. We are looking for skilled tradesmen with experience installing and working with sheet metal HVAC systems who are interested in a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Install and modify sheet metal systems for commercial and industrial projects
  • Install ductwork and related HVAC components
  • Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Perform quality inspections of completed work
  • Follow all jobsite safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Requirements
  • Previous commercial or industrial sheet metal experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication and installation
  • Knowledge of common sheet metal tools and equipment
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts Monday–Thursday
