Job description

Commercial Exterior Cladding Carpenters & PEMB Erectors

Gypsum Systems LLC, based in Elma, NY, is a leader in commercial construction specializing in framing, drywall, ceilings, millwork, and building envelope systems. We are actively seeking experienced carpenters and field assemblers with a focus on exterior cladding systems and Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Install a variety of commercial exterior cladding systems, including metal panels, composite panels, siding systems, and trims
  • Assemble and install components for Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB), including wall and roof systems
  • Read and interpret architectural and shop drawings
  • Perform layout and ensure installations meet project specifications and tolerances
  • Lead and supervise crews (Foreman roles)
  • Work safely at heights using lifts, scaffolding, and fall protection systems
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
  • Coordinate with other trades to meet project schedules
  • Perform other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Experience with exterior cladding and/or PEMB construction
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Western New York
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong commitment to jobsite safety

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with metal panel systems, IMPs (insulated metal panels), and rainscreen assemblies
  • PEMB experience including steel erection, wall girts, and roof purlins
  • Leadership experience for Foreman candidates
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
