The Opportunity:
AM Glass Inc. is seeking a skilled, quality-driven Foreman for Metal and Glass to lead our field installation crews across high-profile commercial projects in New York City. In this role, you will bridge the gap between architectural plans and flawless on-site execution. You will hold the autonomy to direct field logistics, manage site safety, and instill a culture of premium craftsmanship, all backed by a company that values hard work, clear communication, and professional growth.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Lead and coordinate field crews, orchestrating daily logistics and site operations to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Measure and execute the precise installation of curtain wall systems, storefront systems, custom glass, mirrors, doors, windows, and metal panels.
- Conduct highly accurate field layouts and structural measurements to eliminate installation errors.
- Complete daily route sheets, field logs, and progress reports utilizing tablet-based technology.
- Maintain rigorous job site safety by enforcing OSHA standards, building codes, and the correct utilization of specialized tools and PPE.
- Collaborate directly with Project Managers, technical teams, and external construction professionals to troubleshoot field conditions and resolve installation issues in real time.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven field experience as a glazier or foreman within the architectural glass and metal industry.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and work directly from complex architectural drawings, shop drawings, and schematics.
- Technical proficiency navigating tablet-based software for daily reporting and project communication.
- Physical capability to safely work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and related architectural rigging equipment.
- Required Site Credentials: Valid 62-Hour SST card, 4-Hour Supported Scaffold certificate, and valid operating licenses for Forklifts, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced scaffolding and rigging credentials (32-Hour Supported Scaffold, 16-Hour/32-Hour Suspended Scaffold, or 32-Hour Rigging Supervisor).
- Specialized trade certifications, including Fire Watch, Glass Manipulator, or Spider Crane operator licenses.
