Job description

Build a Career Where Your Craftsmanship Is the Product

Great ductwork doesn't happen by accident. It takes a steady hand, a sharp eye, and someone who refuses to let a piece leave the shop unless it's right. If that sounds like you, we want to talk.

Air Control is looking for an experienced Journeyman Sheet Metal Fabricator to join a shop that treats fabrication as a skilled trade worth mastering — not a task to rush through. You'll work with quality equipment, alongside people who take the work seriously, on HVAC ductwork, custom sheet metal, and specialty components that get installed across our region every day. This is a long-term seat with a company that's been growing since 1990 and reinvests in the people who build it.

If you're dependable, detail-driven, and ready to put your name behind your work, you'll fit right in here.

What You'll Build

  • Fabricate HVAC ductwork and custom sheet metal components to spec and shop drawings
  • Run the full lineup of shop equipment — brakes, shears, rollers, plasma tables, and more
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
  • Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and finish sheet metal products with precision
  • Handle layout work and hold every piece to a high quality standard
  • Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
  • Work closely with shop personnel, installers, and project managers to keep jobs moving on schedule
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality before they ship or get installed
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures, every time

What You Bring

  • Journeyman-level sheet metal fabrication experience preferred
  • Strong command of HVAC duct fabrication and sheet metal construction techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings
  • Confident, safe operation of fabrication equipment and power tools
  • Solid math and measuring skills
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 75 pounds
  • Sharp attention to detail and genuine pride in quality workmanship
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred
  • Self-starter who also pulls for the team

What We Offer:

  • Company Paid Health Insurance
  • Company Paid Short Term Disability
  • Voluntary Dental/Vision
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Supplemental life insurance, and long-term disability available
  • 401k Plan with a company match
  • Paid Time Off
  • Company Paid Holidays
  • Ongoing Training
  • A family-oriented culture—where we support one another, celebrate wins, and have fun along the way.
