Meta is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting strategy and financial reporting for its large-scale infrastructure investments. This role spans Meta's rapidly evolving supply chain procurement—including commodities, customized silicon, cloud computing capacity, and more. The role will be pivotal in supporting complex and evolving procurement structures, enabling business flexibility and optionality, and ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in supply chain operations, ASC 360 and ASC 842, and process automation, along with a proven track record of supporting large-scale infrastructure and AI initiatives. In addition, the role will drive cross-functional alignment on complex accounting policies and play a central role in shaping how Meta accounts for one of its most significant areas of capital investment.
Infrastructure Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead supply chain procurement support and execution for Compute, Storage, Network, and other infrastructure portfolios
- Conduct comprehensive contract reviews and partner with technical accounting to evaluate and document the accounting treatment for significant, complex transactions in compliance with US GAAP
- Drive proactive, strategic support for business initiatives, enabling procurement strategies while preserving operational and financial flexibility
- Operationalize new accounting processes stemming from new business strategies and models
- Lead several key accounting processes, including Meta's R&D vs. COR allocation across on-premise and cloud spends
- Prepare and present quarter-end financial reporting packages to leadership, surfacing key insights, trends, and operational drivers. Responsible for preparing key footnote disclosures, such as purchase commitments
- Serve as preparer and/or reviewer for critical Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, performing senior IC review responsibilities and providing robust support for internal and external audits across Compute, Storage, and Network portfolios
- Champion process improvements and automation—including the adoption of AI tooling—to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of financial reporting and controls
Minimum Qualifications:
- CPA or equivalent accounting qualification required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with significant depth in fixed assets or infrastructure accounting
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience analyzing complex financial data and resolving ambiguous accounting issues (e.g., evaluating contract terms, structuring journal entries for non-standard transactions)
- Deep technical and operational knowledge of the U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 360 and ASC 842
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of cross-functional partners
- Track record of driving system implementations to support fast-growing, complex business environments
- Demonstrated experience in optimizing or designing scalable processes
- Demonstrated readiness to lead, influence, and develop others in a people-management capacity
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
