Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a remote Senior Controls Engineer to join their team.
Summary:
This Controls Engineer within the Supply Chain Engineering department will focus on the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of automated material handling equipment and warehouse control systems in Distribution Centers. They need to be familiar to experienced in software - SCADA and Emulation software like Emulate3D of Rockwell Automation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Project support and control system design: The Controls Engineer is responsible for on-site commissioning, reviewing vendor specifications, creating sequence of operations documents, designing system layouts and schematics, and maintaining project schedules to ensure control systems meet project requirements
* Optimization and technical support: The role includes optimizing and troubleshooting PLC programs, configuring HMIs, RTUs, and SCADA systems, performing control systems modeling and simulation, and collaborating with Warehouse Control Systems teams for integration and support
REQUIREMENTS:
* Candidates should hold a BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in Control Systems
* Possess intermediate knowledge of ADC/DAC systems, MATLAB/Simulink, and computer networks
* Strong communication skills
* Desirable skills include experience with Allen-Bradley platforms, industrial networks, AutoCAD, SCADA systems, and programming in C/C++ and IEC-61131-3 languages
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
