Remote Webassembly Jobs in Georgia (NOW HIRING)

Remote Webassembly information

What is a Remote WebAssembly Developer?

A Remote WebAssembly Developer is a software engineer who specializes in creating and optimizing applications using WebAssembly (Wasm) technology while working from a remote location. WebAssembly is a low-level, binary instruction format that allows code written in languages like C, C++, and Rust to run in web browsers with near-native speed. Remote WebAssembly Developers are responsible for building efficient browser-based or server-side applications, integrating WebAssembly modules, and collaborating with teams online. They often work on performance-critical web applications, games, or tools that require high-speed computation. Their remote role enables them to work from anywhere while contributing to global projects.

What is the difference between Remote Webassembly vs Remote Front-End Developer?

AspectRemote WebassemblyRemote Front-End Developer
Required SkillsWebAssembly, C/C++, JavaScript, HTML, CSSJavaScript, HTML, CSS, frameworks like React or Angular
Work EnvironmentCollaborates with developers integrating WebAssembly modules into web appsBuilds and maintains user interfaces for websites and applications
Industry UsageSpecialized in performance-critical web componentsGeneral web development across various industries

Remote Webassembly roles focus on integrating WebAssembly modules for high-performance web applications, requiring knowledge of low-level languages and web technologies. Remote Front-End Developers create user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks. While both work remotely in web development, their skill sets and project focuses differ significantly.

How does working remotely as a WebAssembly developer impact collaboration with cross-functional teams?

Remote WebAssembly developers often collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers using online tools like Slack, Zoom, and collaborative coding platforms. While remote work offers flexibility, it requires proactive communication and clear documentation to align with distributed teams. Regular check-ins, code reviews, and virtual stand-ups help ensure that everyone stays on the same page and project milestones are met efficiently. Adapting to asynchronous workflows and leveraging project management software are key to overcoming challenges in remote, cross-functional collaboration.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote WebAssembly Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote WebAssembly Developer, you need strong proficiency in web development languages (such as JavaScript, C, C++, or Rust), experience with web performance optimization, and a solid understanding of the WebAssembly standard. Familiarity with development tools like Emscripten, WebAssembly toolchains, browser dev tools, and version control systems (e.g., Git) is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, self-motivation, and clear communication skills are essential for remote collaboration and effective project delivery. These skills ensure you can build high-performance web applications, efficiently contribute to distributed teams, and adapt to evolving technologies.

Job description

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Location: Remote

Who We Are:

Tuesday Health is a value-based palliative care provider group dedicated to transforming serious illness and end-of-life care. We deliver goal-centered care focused on alleviating physical symptoms and emotional stress for individuals and their caregivers. Our interdisciplinary care teams reduce avoidable hospitalizations and improve quality of life wherever individuals call home. Through our leading-edge care model, Tuesday Health is shaping the future of community-based palliative care nationwide.

The Role:

We're hiring our first dedicated SDET to own test automation across our product suite. You'll design, build, and maintain automated test suites that act as a continuous QA layer for our web, API, and mobile applications. This is a high-ownership role on a small, senior onshore team — your work directly determines how confidently we ship.

A defining feature of this role: we are an AI-forward engineering organization. We use Claude Enterprise heavily across our SDLC, and you'll leverage it daily to author, update, and maintain test scripts at a pace a traditional QA process can't match. We're looking for someone who is energized by that way of working, not resistant to it.

Key responsibilities of this role may include:

  • Own end-to-end test automation for our Blazor WebAssembly front end, including UI and functional test suites (e.g., Playwright).
  • Build and maintain API test coverage for our .NET Core back-end APIs, Azure Function apps, and dedicated authentication service — integration, contract, and regression testing.
  • Establish mobile test automation for our .NET MAUI mobile application across iOS and Android.
  • Leverage Claude Enterprise to generate, refactor, and maintain test scripts efficiently, and help define best practices for AI-assisted testing on the team.
  • Integrate testing into CI/CD so automated suites run on every build and release, with clear pass/fail signals and actionable failure reporting.
  • Track and report quality metrics — escaped defects, coverage, flaky test rates — and use them to drive improvement.
  • Partner with developers to make testability a first-class concern in design and code review, and to reproduce, isolate, and verify bug fixes.
  • Perform targeted exploratory testing where automation isn't the right tool, especially for new features and edge cases.

A strong candidate will demonstrate the following:

Required:

  • 4+ years in test automation, SDET, or software engineering roles with a strong testing focus
  • Strong C#/.NET skills — you write production-quality test code, not just record-and-playback scripts
  • Hands-on experience with modern UI automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, or similar)
  • Experience building API-level test suites (REST, integration testing, test data management)
  • Experience wiring test automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Comfort using AI tools (Claude, Copilot, or similar) as a core part of your workflow — or strong enthusiasm to adopt them
  • Self-directed and comfortable owning a domain on a small team

Nice to Have:

  • Experience testing Blazor applications (bUnit, Playwright against WASM apps)
  • Mobile automation experience (Appium, .NET MAUI UI testing, or similar)
  • Experience testing authentication/authorization flows (OAuth, OIDC)
  • Healthcare or other regulated-industry experience; familiarity with HIPAA and handling PHI in test environments
  • Performance or load testing experience
  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines specifically

Our Stack:

  • Front end: Blazor WebAssembly
  • Back end: .NET Core APIs, Azure Function apps, separate auth service API
  • Mobile: .NET MAUI (iOS and Android)
  • Cloud: Azure App Services, Azure ecosystem
  • AI tooling: Claude Enterprise, used throughout the SDLC
  • DevOps: Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines)

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation, reflecting our commitment to attracting, retaining, and motivating the best talent in the industry
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off and holidays, employer 401(K) match, etc.
  • Remote work with multiple onsite sessions each year to maximize collaboration and team building
  • A dynamic and inclusive team environment where you can lean on your teammates, offer candid feedback, bring your true self to work each day, and deliver tremendous impact while having fun along the way
  • Meaningful work each day; we care deeply about our mission, our patients, and each other

If you are passionate about improving the quality of care for seriously ill individuals and their caregivers through innovative solutions, we would love to hear from you.
